I've had a love affair with my pen since I was 10 years old...
20 Years later, that relationship has spawned an incredible journey through words, that has lead me through a ribbon of endless experiences working with some of the top publications in the world.
To attempt to list off some of my career highlights could take a road trip through the afternoon, but if I had to choose the top five moments that will always be in the reflection of my smile I'd say...
- Hanging out at the Red Carpet Premiere for Queen Latifah's film "Just Wright," and Will Smith's film "7 Pounds."
- Meeting/Interviewing the Casts of films/plays such as "Last Airbender" and "Twilights Saga: New Moon" and "The Color Purple."
- Interviewing artists such as 50 Cent, Tyrese Gibson, Letoya Luckett, Paul Wall, New Boys, Eric Roberson, Jennifer Holliday, Jakk Doe... and the list goes on.
- Attending incredible events like "Angie's Hats' Annual Garden Party," "Sweet Honey in the Rock," "The Ebony Magazine Fashion Show," "Twin Cities Black Film Festival" and many more.
- And finally, writing something that touches someone else's life, the way that reading the works of some of my favorite authors and journalists has always done for me.
